Terms and refunds

Plain terms for the books and the Reading Library sold on this site. Nothing here is hidden in a longer document; this page is the whole of it.

Who you are buying from

These books are published and sold by Sleepy Time History, the imprint behind the Sleepy Time Historian channel. Payment is taken by Stripe, which acts as merchant of record for the sale and issues your receipt. Questions about an order, a file or a refund go to [email protected].

What you are buying

Digital files — PDF and EPUB, and a ZIP archive where an offer includes the Reading Library. There is nothing physical, nothing is shipped, and there is no subscription or recurring charge. The files carry no DRM. They are licensed for your own reading on your own devices; please do not redistribute, resell or upload them.

Delivery

Delivery is immediate. The moment your payment succeeds you are taken to a download page with a link for every file in your order, and the same links are emailed to the address you gave at checkout. The emailed links expire after seven days; the download page does not — keep it bookmarked and it will issue fresh links whenever you open it. If nothing arrives within a few minutes, check your spam folder and then email support from the address you used.

Right of withdrawal

Consumers in the EU and the UK normally have 14 days to withdraw from a distance purchase. That right does not survive the immediate delivery of digital content: by completing checkout you ask for the files at once and acknowledge that you lose the right of withdrawal once the download begins. Stripe records that acknowledgement as part of the purchase.

Refunds

The withdrawal right is waived, but the promise on the storefront is not. If a file will not open, arrives damaged or incomplete, or is not what this site described, email [email protected] within 14 days of your purchase, from the address you bought with, and we will either fix it or refund you in full. Duplicate purchases of the same offer are refunded on request.

Prices

Prices are in US dollars and are shown on the storefront before you reach checkout. Any tax that applies is calculated and displayed by Stripe at checkout.
